Hypnotic soundscapes and a flirtatious attitude defines Shi la Rosa's music. She experiments with both upbeat grooves to dance to and dreamy croons, beckoning you to look inward.
Originally hailing from Cleveland, la Rosa found her artistic footing in Chicago, playing on iconic stages such as Empty Bottle, Subterranean, and Schuba’s Tavern. She has since migrated west to LA to pursue her surfing career. Just kidding. To make music in the land of no winters.
In addition to her solo career, la Rosa has teamed up with the likes of producer Pete Cho to form the trash-glam-pop outfit called Drugs Cosmetics. The pair have developed a sound best described as manic glamor mosh pit. It’s giving the ferociousness, sex appeal, and angst that comes with the disillusionment of adulthood. Their highly anticipated debut project does not shy from boundless playfulness, absurdity, and not taking itself too seriously.
